Non-Partisan Anti-Futa League

Why?

Since I get asked about it all the time, I felt it was best to make a statement about AntiFu here.

The tag started as a light hearted way to say my character wasn't a futa, and wasn't interested in futa. I hope it would save trouble and time when dealing the scene at the Quicksand in Balmung, especially considering how many people try to pull the "surprise futa" gambit after you've spent a good stretch of time getting to know them. It also saves hurt feelings from rejecting people when it gets to that point.

However, there is more to this story. When I first started mmo rp forteen years ago in WoW on Steamwheedle Cartel, I met a total of three futa, and they were fun to be around. They had this thing they didn't advertise, but it wasn't the entire identity of the character. I even participated in "that kind of rp" with them. The concept was new enough to the mmo environment that they didn't even call themselves futa because they didn't know the word. Along the way this changed dramatically. Within a few years what was once unique became cliche, and character development was sacrificed for fetish. The Goldshire scene in WoW became flooded with dominant and submissive futa (more on those labels in a bit) as well as other kinks that scared people from ever going to the area unless they absolutely had to. After while I hadn't really done anything with futa in years, I was more annoyed by the development than anything else. The turning point for me came when someone pulled the "surprise futa" gambit on my character, and said, "Sorry, this isn't my thing." They said, "But you were going to when you thought she was all female." I said, "Yes, because you portrayed her as female." And then they said, "You're a fucking bigot." And stormed away. After facing that level of entitlement, I started to take notice of the types of people who came to make up the majority of the futa player base. While I've only had that happen once more, I've had quite a few try to guilt me into it after refusing them.

I don't have any hatred or animosity towards people who play futa, but I have a lot of frustration.

First, they've become so prevalent that people assume if you play a highlander female you must be packing a surprise. It's even worse for roe females, and it's starting to look like it's becoming standard for veira as well.

Second, if people wanted to experiment with gender, or mores concerning orientation, I'd be more accepting. It's not my jam, but you aren't setting fire to my house, so I wouldn't care. But that's not what's happening. I'm convinced it's mostly guys who want to look at a female toon (they are more attractive) but still want to nut like a normal guy. They want it both ways, and don't want the hindrances involved with playing one sex or another. Don't believe me? Explain why every futa and trans characters (admittedly not the same thing) are almost exclusively female toons despite their growing prevalence on the scene? No one makes a male looking futa, or female-to-male trans character because they want their toon to have tits, and shapely ass, and to be able to lay the pipe.

Third, there's usually next to no character development. When I mentioned the dom/sub dichotomy above, I'm not talking about S&M. Most people I know who are into that scene irl despise futa and most rp depictions of S&M because they don't come close to reflecting reality, and propogate myths about what they enjoy. Most futa are a variation of "virile bitch-breaker" or "limitless cum-dumpster." Sure, you run into male toons, and female toons with those characteristics, but they aren't the rule. They're so one-dimensional that real life gays and trans have complimented my AntiFu tag, and tell me they hate futa because they make a mockery of the struggles gays and trans feel they face.

Fourth, it's so overdone it's boring. If you play a futa, and think your on the cutting edge of something, you're not, and the only thing your rebelling against is basic biology. You're nothing but a lemming caught up in a masturbatory trend.


I have no problems with people who like potion play, or temporary magic alterations. Those make it not central to your identity. When the sole defining characteristic is "I'm a mean chick with a dick" you've become an idiot. Same with "I'm a shy girl with cock." I don't care if your free use, or a virile breeder, you're boring.

Now, I've had a lot of people ask how to join AntiFu. It was never supposed to be an ogranization or club. It was originally meant as a ward against people wondering if I was a futa, or if their futa could breed my female toons. However, after adding the tag to my search info, I discovered I was far from the only person who felt a growing frustration with how it's taken over the Quicksand on Balmung. People expressing support have ranged from religious conservatives to out of the closet transsexuals.* If you wish to identify as AntiFu merely add "AntiFu" in your search info. If you want, you can add this in your search info if you agree with what I've written here, or link it in your own f-list. There's no need to compliment me, or tell me how much you agree because that happens so often it's almost as annoying as being asked if I'm playing a futa.

Finally, I'm more than happy to rp with most people. If someone has a futa that's truly three dimensional, I'm happy to rp with them. There's no chance of erp, but regular rp is fine. I know it might not read like it here, but I don't hate the individual player. I hate what Nthe whole of what futadom is. Also, if you think my problems with futa are overblown, or my perception of them is skewed, I'm happy to take a couple minutes if I'm not already busy, and talk it over if the conversation is reasonable.

I'd much rather go about my rp time ignoring futa. Sadly, it can't be done. When I simply posted "No Futa" in my search info, rocket scientists asked me on a daily basis, "Do you mean you're not a futa, or that you won't hook up with futa?" So, I had to post something more, which resulted in more questions. Finally I post this. I'm sure more questions will follow which will need for me to make clarifications, but it's my hope that I'll eventually have a definitive enough statement that I needn't be constantly answering stuff I thought self-evident.
